Architecture Bows to the Landscape

The Arc House is an 8,000 sq.ft residential project in Kankhal, Haridwar — a home where the arc, as both structural and poetic device, mediates between the built and the natural. Designed for Mr. Amit Sharma, the architecture curves in deference to the landscape it inhabits.

The interior organization follows the geometry of the arc — spaces that radiate from a central axis, rooms that open to gardens framed by the sweeping roofline. Materials are chosen for their ability to mediate between inside and outside: stone that continues from the garden into the living room, timber that echoes the surrounding trees.
