Stillness as Spatial Practice

The Calm House is a 1,600 sq.ft interior in Jurs Country, Haridwar designed for Miss Gauree — a home organized entirely around the principle of calm. Every material choice, every spatial decision, and every detail is deployed in service of a single ambition: to create a space of genuine tranquillity.

Pale stone, white-washed walls, and natural linen converge to create an interior of luminous simplicity. Furniture is chosen for its material honesty — the grain of wood, the weave of fabric — and spaces are proportioned to allow the inhabitant to breathe, to think, to simply be. The Calm House is an antidote to the noise of contemporary life.
