An Envelope of Space and Serenity
The Wrapped House is an 8,000 sq.ft residential project in Saharanpur, Uttar Pradesh — a home that envelops its inhabitants in layers of space, material, and light. Designed for Mr. Atish Gupta, the architecture is organized around the idea of the wrap: a continuous surface that defines interior and exterior simultaneously.
The wrapping material — a continuous band of stone and timber — moves from the garden through the entry and into the living spaces, creating a sense of spatial continuity that dissolves the boundary between inside and outside. The Wrapped House is a home that makes the act of inhabitation feel like a gentle embrace.
